About PILA

PILA Lubbock started on October 15, 2012 as a simple candle lighting in a park with about six in attendance. In 2013, there were about 20. We started a support group in September 2014 and our memorial service was moved into a church and about 50 were in attendance. Last year, the City of Lubbock granted a proclamation for National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month. Our memorial service grows every year! We are looking forward to another great service in 2019.

PILA Lubbock is purely run by donations. Donations allow us to be able to offer more events during the year. We are also striving to assist the hospitals with the bereavement boxes given to the parents of angels.
